Gordon McLennan, General Secretary of the British Communist Party, Jorge Aliaga and Jose Cerón at Jananti's |
(Resident Poet at Jananti)
(October 1987)
From high in the Andes Peaks
Soaring over land for weeks
And over oceans harsh then calm.
On an on mystical Psalm
Of giant wings and whispering wind
Silent shadow, homage to those sinned.
Into Scotland land of heather
A place to eat a place to bleather
Joy! To feel the night
Candles to burn bright
Love! To flow like wine
Giant bird make us feel time
The wind breaks like the heart
The clouds scurry and fly apart
Stairs Room going below
The doors open and now we know
All welcome open handed
The Condor has landed.
(Poem dedicated to Jorge Aliaga's Jananti of Edinburgh)
