Stop press: Israel has declined the invitation to attend the Culture Summit, significant given that they can’t be kept out of UEFA or the Eurovision Song Contest. (Vigorous protests were awaiting them in Edinburgh.)
US Presidential candidate Mitt Romney says Israeli cultural superiority over Palestinians explains their higher economic growth (i.e. dynamic Israelis, lazy Arabs). The Wall Street Journal agrees with Romney, saying that "Palestinians have higher education, a strong work ethic and successful entrepreneurs" due to "their close association with the Zionists".
